Misguided state

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad.

To proceed:

This is a statement concerning the disbelief and misguidance of ISIS:

1. They judge the peoples who submit to constitutional rule to be Muslims, while Allah says:

“And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed—then it is those who are the disbelievers.”

2. They take disbelieving peoples as allies and approve of their religion, while Allah says:

“They are allies of one another. And whoever among you takes them as allies is indeed one of them.”

3. They have abandoned the duty of testifying concerning people as being Muslim or disbelieving, while Allah says:

“So that you may be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger may be a witness over you.”

4. They have abandoned the Islamic pledge of allegiance, while Allah Almighty says:

“O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging that they will not associate anything with Allah...”

to the end of the verse.

5. They excuse the polytheist because of ignorance, although Allah made no exception except for the person who is compelled:

“Whoever disbelieves in Allah after having believed—except one who is forced while his heart remains secure in faith...”

to the end of the verse.

6. They pledge allegiance to a man whose voice and image are unknown, although a pledge of allegiance is not valid unless the Imam is specifically identified.

7. They judge the inhabitants of the land of disbelief to be affiliated with the Muslims without evidence, while Allah says:

“We testify only to what we know, and we were not guardians of the unseen.”

8. They deny gradual implementation in establishing the religion, although the Commander of the Believers, Ali—may Allah be pleased with him—delayed carrying out retribution against the killers of Uthman in order to prevent greater harm.

9. They give precedence to the statements of men over the words of Allah and His Messenger, while Allah says:

“Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow any allies besides Him.”

10. They adopt operations carried out by individuals in the land of disbelief, while Allah says:

“As for those who believed but did not emigrate, you have no duty of protection toward them until they emigrate.”

They, and those who follow their approach, have declared all peoples affiliated with Islam to be Muslims.

When we ask them: Is Islam not established by the testimony, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”?

Have they personally heard every individual among all these peoples saying, “I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”?

Why, then, have they generalized the declaration, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,” to the entire population, while refusing to generalize upon them the worship of graves and belief in constitutional rule?

Is this not the use of two different standards?

They are unable to provide an answer.
